They can be great pets if you have the time to care for them physically and mentally. I would not recommend a Bulldog as a choice for a family that doesn't have enough time to give them the attention they need.
Bulldogs need to have their wrinkles on their face cleaned every day to prevent foul odor and infections. They also need to be walked daily for the exercise and mental stimulation.
Bulldogs tend to play a little rough (they are very strong) and can be stubborn. When they are young you, must practice putting them on their back to let them know you are boss. Otherwise, they will be boss, and believe me, you do not want a Bulldog running your house.
One more thing to keep in mind while they are young. Bulldogs for some reason get obsessed with objects, especially ones that move or make noise. For example, hoses, skateboards, bikes, vacuums and so on. At first it is cute, but it gets old and bottersome real quick. You need to discourage this behavior while they are young, unless you don't mind buying new hoses a couple times a year.

They are WONDERFUL pets, smart, fun, obediant and very loyal. I have an American right now the the english are great and the french are awesome too.
yes they are. but like all dogs some people cant handle them. some people cant handle some breeds so get one thats right for u
