Alrighty...
I seem to be having a little bit of a problem with going Full Screen on my Mac.
Whenever I go to a full screen program, it shows a little grey gradient up where the menu bar would be.
It does this for EVERY program.
Could someone give me a little help?
isl247, you really misunderstood. Full screen is full screen, on Mac or Windows. Nothing besides the video is shown except the black "letter-box" areas above and below those "my-screen-is-longer-than-your-screen" movies. Well, some applications will fail to resize correctly or keep the control module visible at all times like YouTube.
Try using QuickTime Player because it should never have anything visible except the movie. If it exhibits the same artifact, you have some type of corruption or else you failed to notice that someone stuck a strip of duct tape across the top of your screen.
No easy way to know what to do here. You could surely fix it with an archive install but maybe you could fix it by running Disk Utility repair or by creating a new user.
"Full screen" on Mac is not the same as Windows. Oddly, OS X is more of a windowed environment than Windows is. This is one of the subtle differences that Mac users love and Windows users hate.
...unless I'm misunderstanding your question!
