I just downloaded World of Warcraft, and the Burning Crusade expansion. I've had an account for a while, but had uninstalled the game for a time.
However, it seems to be taking up more room on my hard drive than is necessary and I'm wondering if perhaps I did something wrong with the downloads.
I'm using Windows XP and I have three folders in Program Files for WoW.
One is called World of Warcraft and is 9.57GB. It contains Cache, Data, Errors, WTF, etc folders. I know I need to keep this one.
But then there's two others.
One is called WoW-2.3.0.7561-enUS and is 3.88GB it just contains two folders called DirectX and World of Warcraft (O SX).app and a file called Installer.
The other is called WoW-BurningCrusade-enUS-Slim-Installer and is 1.8GB. It contains one folder called Installer.app a few InstallerTome.mpq files and another file called Installer.
Do I need those last two folders or now that the game is fully installed can I delete them?
Any help would be appreciated. I have a laptop that's a couple years old and currently WoW is taking up about half my hard drive :/
Those other 2 are just for installing. My World of Warcraft folder is 8.91 GB and I haven't updated in a few months.
P.S. How is Japan =) I am another American that has wanted to move to Japan.
Yep I agree, the last two are not needed. Just delete them and you should be fine.....
Just so you know.......?
