[NOT BUG] AsyncTreeNode refresh bug

Published by: anonym 2010-03-18
  • First, hi all, im new to Ext and this forums.

I started playing around with Ajax and a AsyncTreeNode. My tree is loaded perfect with a modified get-nodes.php. But...

When i click on a folder that contains NO FILES, its icon changes as it was a file (when it isn't, just an empty folder).

Not sure if its a bug or just was intented to act like that, but guess is wrong btw.
Thanks and grats for such a nice library!

  • after re-reading your post a few times, i finally figured out what you were trying to say.
you'll still have to read that post above though B)

when you click on a folder (in the Ext Dependency Builder) which doesn't contain any files, the load icon is displayed momentarily before the folder icon without the "+" symbol is displayed.

this isn't a bug. the widget doesn't know the folder is empty until the "+' icon is clicked, following which an Ajax call is made to check for files.

if you need to hide the "+" symbol on loading the widget you'll need to write something to determine the correct icon to use at widget creation time.

please search the various forums before posting in bugs.
this issue has been discussed numerous times before, and is not a bug.

This is not a bug. See definition of bug in the post mystix mentions. If you don't want the folder icon to change for empty folders you have to adjust css. There were some posts on how to do it. Please search.
