(i) What are the odds of developing lung cancer if you are a smoker,
and,(ii) what are the chances of a smoker dying because of smoking? I
would like it expressed as follows: smokers have a 1 in X chance of
developing lung cancer; smokers have a 1 in X chance of dying because
of smoking. Most research i have read expresses it as e.g., "smokers
are 30 times more likely to develop lung cancer then nonsmokers." This
is not very helpful, as the chances of a nonsmoker getting lung cancer
are never given.
 Allergies.. no relief?!?
