Well firstly the problem with my computer was just shutting off by it self and it was overheating so i decided to take my computer apart and clean the dust from each piece. I put the pieces of the computer back in place PROPERLY. Then I put the computer on and i think the problem got even worse. What is wrong with my computer and how do I fix this problem?
Technically, there is already a problem in your pc. Cleaning it wont work. Since that your idea is not so specific (what part of the pc is over heating), asking here in net can't give you accurate solution.
The best thing you can do is to show it to a real technician.BUT, make sure to bring a lot of money because, for sure you will replace something in the pc.
If by general means, if your pc is shutting down because of over heating, the two possible reason could be:
> Settings in BIOS is exagerated. You can either change it to a certain temperature limit (higher). But of course, it is not advisable if you're not an expert.
> Your motherboard has a problem, The chip on top of it (which regulates the heat) may be broken already.
That's the best I can do. Also, if you're not an expert to this, don't take the risk of doing it yourself. See a technician. They can see it well.
Make sure all your fans are plugged in properly and are spinning when you turn on the computer. Also, make sure the processor fan is firmly affixed to the CPU.
Try to enter the bios (look for the message when you first turn on the computer about which key to press), and check the temperatures.
I'm reminded of the scene when Stallone's mother "cleans" his guns from the movie ."Don't move or my mom will shoot"
If cleaned improperly, the system will have more problems. I'm not sure how you cleaned the system but the right way would have been to unplug the system & use a can of compressed air to blow the dust away or use a specialized vacuum cleaner. Normal vacuum cleaner would create static & that would harm the computer more.
I'd suggest you take it to the shop so that they can analyze whats wrong with it. Also you could try & disable the system overheat protection from BIOS. Also check if fans are working right.. also check RAM..
Most likely your power supply burnt out. Very common. All you need is a new one, find the watt's of the one you have now and when you purchase a new one get higher watt's.
You did not mention clearly what is the result : whether it is booting or not or totally it is not starting - be clear and you will get the good solution for the same. from me.
Allergies.. no relief?!?
